Preschool Done Remotely
Here is a picture of one of our classmates listening to Ms. Nancy read The True Story of The Three Little Pigs. If you have any pictures of your children doing one of the activities, watching one of the videos, or playing that you would like to share, please send them. I will post them in the blog and the kids can "see" each other. I look forward to see what you send in. Take care and be well.
Some things you can do at home that do not require any materials or planning to help
keep up your child's adaptive skills are:
- have them dress and undress themselves
- have them zip their own jackets
- put on their own hats
- socks!- have children take off and put on their own socks
- drinking out of open mouthed cups
- brushing their teeth themselves
- washing themselves in the shower

Who Told The Truth?
In this story, the Wolf says he needed a cup of sugar and went to ask his neighbor the pig to borrow one when a big sneeze came on. The accidental sneeze blew the house down. The children got to vote on whose version of the story was the truth.

The Big Bad Wolf
The children used the hairdryer to "huff and "puff" as the "wolf". They made predictions whether a chosen object would be blown across the line. They voted "yes" using a green circle and "no" using a red circle. The children checked their predictions against what they observed to see if they were correct.

Important Medical Information
Dear Families of Miss Nancy's class:
There has been a child in class who was diagnosed and treated for scabies. This letter is to notify you of the symptoms to be aware of. Scabies is a skin condition caused by mites that causes intense itching and a pimple-like rash. See the attached information sheet from the CDC regarding scabies.
Symptoms can sometimes take several weeks to appear. Please monitor for any symptoms and contact your child's pediatrician if your child develops a rash or itching. Since our preschool coats overlap on hooks, we suggest washing your child's outdoor gear and running it through the dryer. In the classroom, we will continue to encourage hand washing as well as routine cleaning of surfaces and items.

The Three Little Pigs
The children are acting out the story in the correct sequence using the language from the book.
"Little pig, little pig, let me in."
"Not by the hair of my chinny, chin, chin."
