Graphing

We do a lot of graphing in preschool. It is a way to see how we are the same and different with other members of our class that we may not know well or interact with. It is also a rich language and math activity. Vocabulary used during this graphing exercise included: compare, more than, less than, equal to, most, least, tally marks, the same as, zero, taller/tallest, shorter/ shortest, and number words. Math concepts included: more than, less than, equal to, most, least, using tally marks to count, and rote counting. The kids were fully engaged, talking about the people the love the most- You! They had no idea how much they were learning.
